We’re going UP this time. Please step onto the platform and prepare for some serious acceleration! Is this the ascent of man? Of your consciousness? Of your mood? This mix of progressive house and trance encompasses all of the above.

House music IS a sort of vast empire, spanning many sub-genres and styles, and it’s the  origin of just about every song I mix, so it just felt right to give it some space to play on its own.

How many times in this universe have two cultures collided or intersected? Many, many times, I’m sure! As an audible for-instance, this mix blends tribal rhythms with some rather more high-tech tracks… long live synergy!

The final piece of a trilogy, Psioniq III launches right into the fray, with an excellent dark remix of Predator’s Psukoy, followed by Blade Runner references aplenty in Marjika. Are you feeling the brooding, dystopian mood yet?

Like the metaphorical sea of our souls, the ocean is at times sunny and bright, deeply dangerous, but always filled with life — and the tracks in this mix reflect that dynamism. The thread here is the energy and majesty of our oceanic worlds.

It’s like anything. It’s like you’re an actor, or a painter, or a writer. You’ve always got to entertain yourself first before you can even consider entertaining other people. Because if it doesn’t excite you, it’s never gonna excite anybody.

Like water which can clearly mirror the sky and the trees only so long as its surface is undisturbed, the mind can only reflect the true image of the Self when it is tranquil and wholly relaxed.

Good things come in 3’s.  So here’s part 2 of a trilogy for what I hear the new Tron:Legacy soundtrack kinda sounding like. I think maybe I have a mild case of synesthesia when I look at a striking image I can’t help but wonder what music and sounds would work with it. So close your eyes, put on some headphones, and join me as we take our next dip into the virtual world of Tronic!

I make no secret of the fact that I’m a huge fan of Daft Punk. So when I heard they were taking on the soundtrack for the sequel to one of my favorite childhood movies I could not have been more stoked. The original Tron movie was ahead of its time, and had ideas that the technology of the early 80’s couldn’t quite realize. More than 25 years later, its sequel, Tron: Legacy, doesn’t have that problem – the new trailer is amazing, and inspired me to take a stab at how I would like the new soundtrack to sound.

This is the first music mix I have on file that’s of the quality I’d feel comfortable presenting to the public. Mixed with some fairly antiquated software, and inspired by the music I heard DJ Diddy and DJ Daz in California, Summer 2008, this is pretty much where I got my start. A ancey and kinda housey, and not a bad beginning if I do say so myself! Forgive the minor mixing imperfections, focus on the music, and have fun with it.
